LVMH dance to Ian Roberts

Bright former Apple executive signed for French luxury firm to lead its digital strategy.

LVMH has a new head of its digital business. This is Ian Rogers, who left Apple last week unexpectedly. Rogers came to the firm from Cupertino came Beats1 Radio Station, a business that helped create and which was acquired by Apple last year for about $ 3 million.

Incorporation is not only the signing of a management more. Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH, said Rogers will bring «extensive experience in high-end digital business… To develop leadership LVMH in the field of digital luxury.» Rogers has a tough job ahead because he reaches to world’s largest luxury company with a portfolio of luxury brands encompassing champagne, clothing, watches and luggage. LVMH owns Veuve Clicquot, Krug and Hennessy, as well as Givenchy, Thomas Pink, Fendi and Marc Jacobs.

LVMH has had him put on the table a proposal impossible to reject, because in his short career within Apple, Rogers showed even with tattoos, it was an Apple guy from head to toe. «Seeing That Apple Apple Music on stage was the culmination of a 20-year professional journey,» Mr Rogers Said.
