Concierge Auctions Sells Big Wood River Estate

Approximately 71.3 secluded acres with three distinct residences, blue-ribbon river frontage and stunning Bald Mountain views, located in popular ski resort destination Sun Valley, ID, has a new owner following yesterday’s record-breaking auction of the Big Wood River Estate. Executed by industry leader Concierge Auctions, the live, on-site auction marks the most expensive residence ever known to sell at auction. When closed, it will also represent Concierge Auctions‘ largest sale since its founding in 2008 and the highest known price for a residence in Sun Valley.

The exposure for the Big Wood River Estate attracted a global audience and a diverse pool of six qualified buyers. The winning bidder is from the Pacific Northwest who, prior to the commencement of Concierge’s global campaign, was unaware of the property.

Concierge Auctions’ progressive marketing campaign drew over 34,800 website views from all US states (led by California, Idaho and New York) and 92 countries (led by the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom). The videos portraying the property and lifestyle were played more than 10,221 times.

With three distinct timber and rock residential structures — a main house with service quarters; a separate guest house overlooking an idyllic reflecting pond; and a charming gate house at the private entrance — the Big Wood River Estate was built to enjoy and entertain. Designed by renowned architect Alan Wanzenberg, the property is surrounded by a sea of untouched private land and includes nine original lots.
